JiaJia is an eight-year-old boy who was abandoned in China when he was three months old. He has spina bfida meningocele and, what we’ve been told is, a botched surgery to correct the spina bfida has resulted in paralysis in his legs.

He has a laugh that comes from deep within his soul and fills a room with joy. He has hope and happiness, despite being the oldest kid at the orphanage and watching his friends come after him and leave with a family before him.

In the videos we have been sent he doesn't let his physical paralysis and emotional roller coaster he has been on limit him in any way. He plays basketball, swims, writes letters, colors pictures, laughs, talks, giggles, sings, and is a great protector and provider for the younger kids.

We have been called to make JiaJia a part of our family, but we can't do it alone. The process is enormous. It invovles packets upon packets of paperwork, certifications, exams, background checks, and, of course, thousands of dollars in fees.

That's where we need your help. The entire process from now until JiaJia comes home to Missouri will costs around $30,000. We are in the process of applying for grants, but with the increasing number of applicants and the decresing amount of grants, we haven't had any approvals yet.

We are realizing that JiaJia is a world-changer and his story is bigger than we could have imagined and others want to be a part of it. So, here's your chance. Please donate and help us bring JiaJia home.

As cliche as it might sound, every dollar help. No donation is too small!

Thanks for your support!

For more information and more pictures, visit our blog  http://amamaandbabaforjiajia.blogspot.com/

A
ny money raised above and beyond our needs will be donated to other families who are in the process of adopting. So, if we do happen to reach our finacial needs, don't stop donating! We wanted to be sure no one thinks we will use an excess to buy a new Lambo or anything! 100% of this money will go towards the costs of adopting.

After continued local media coverage, we are getting more traffic to our blog, GoFundMe, and Facebook pages, so we thought we should post another update!
Jason has been home for three weeks now and adjusting and adapting better than we could have even hoped for!
Our schedules have been pretty full of a mixture of fun "first time" outings and experiences combined with lots of doctors appointments and some lazy nights just spent at home.
This page, as you can probably see, is still actively taking donations that are going towards both the costs Jason continues to incur (medical bills, hygienie products, mobility devices, etc.) and to other families who are in the process of adopting from Jason's former foster home in Beijing, Alenah's Home. Also, if you would like to donate directly to JiaJia's Wish Fund at Alenah's to help his friends be united with their forever families, you can follow the link below:
https://db.childrenshope.net/SAM/Don/KeepHomeAlive_Edt.aspx
(In the designation box, choose "waiting child adoption assistance".)
Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love, support, and finances you have given us! We are so overwhelmed and amazed at how God orchestrated this huge thing into a reality using lots of individuals like yourself! He is such an amazing God whose plans for our own lives are so much bigger and better than we could even begin to dream for ourselves!
Sisters and their brother.

Twenty years ago this March, as a divorced bio mom of a seven yr old bio daughter, I too went to China to adopt a four year old child. Her 'disability' was being abandoned at four years of age, as most families preferred an infant. In May 2015 that beloved daughter received her doctor of pharmacy degree. She has enriched the lives of our extended family. God bless you and Jason/Jia Jia. There will be some bumps in the coming years, as these children must process the emotions of being abandoned by their bio parents, and for your son perhaps surgeries as well, but love and faith will guide and surround all of you and get you through the tough times. And you will all be blessed by this new addition to your family, as will your new son. I am glad I can help you or other adoptive parents through my small donation. 幸福美满 (xìng fú měi mǎn)--May you be blessed and happy.
