A wheelchair for Emy

The town of Sóller is pulling together in a huge effort to raise 30,000 euros to buy a specialised, adapted wheelchair for 11-year-old Emy Maduka, who suffers from  mitrochondrial disease. Though he has all the love and support of his wonderful family, if he is to have any autonomy he needs a sophisticated electric wheelchair. The wheelchair will also enable him to stand upright on his own  – crucial for his circulation. His dream, says the football-crazy youngster, is to get the wheelchair that will allow him to live life to the full. The fundraiser is being organized via the Fundación Miró-Pastor de Sóller with the support of Town Hall social servcies.
